The Benefits of Teaching in Buckinghamshire
Buckinghamshire is an idyllic part of the UK, and a wonderful place to live and teach. It offers the convenience and vibrancy of London just a short train ride away, whilst retaining some genuine English village charm. There are good train and road links to and from Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and High Wycombe. The Metropolitan (Tube) Line runs from London to Little Chalfont, Amersham and Chesham.
For those thinking of moving out of London, Buckinghamshire has an excellent quality of life, and some areas with more affordable property.
Schools in Buckinghamshire are a mix of selective and non-selective schools as well as specialist settings such as special educational needs schools, alternative provision and pupil referral units. This range of school settings offers sufficient variety, challenge and reward to suit any teacher’s preference.
Accredited ITT providers work closely with all of the partner schools in their areas, so will be able to place you in a school that is right for you.
The majority of ITT trainees, once qualified, go on to teach in one of their placement schools or in another local school within Buckinghamshire.
